Maf did this over on her blog, and it seemed like fun! I love coffee, I love books, I love drinking coffee while I read books.
So here goes!
Black: 1. Name a series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
I don’t think I really have one that applies here? The only one I can think of is SJM’s series, and that’s more the “hardcore fans” bit than the “tough to get into” since I don’t ever plan to start reading them.
Peppermint mocha: 2. Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.
Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like Stephen King books are EVERYWHERE around Halloween. I mean, he’s a big name so his books are always popular, but you cannot turn a corner without an SK book slapping you in the face throughout October.

Hot chocolate: 3. What is your favorite children’s book?
I still adore the Arthur books, and I’ll always love Brown Bear, Brown Bear.
Double shot of espresso: 4. Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
GIRL ON THE VERGE by Pintip Dunn! That book fucked me up. It’s such a good psychological thriller that I think everyone should read.
Starbucks: 5. Name a book you see everywhere.
Fucking Christ, but Salami J. Mayo’s books. Just give it a rest already, my dudes.
That hipster coffee shop: 6. Give a book by an indie author a shoutout.
ARE YOU READY FOR A LIST BECAUSE I AM!
- SHATTERPROOF by Xen Sanders
- THE BLAZING STAR by Imani Josey
- TEAM PHISON by Chace Verity
- LONG MACCHIATOS AND MONSTERS by Alison Evans
- SHOW YOURSELF TO ME by Xan West
- COFFEE BOY by Austin Chant
- MY BROTHER’S KEEPER by Abigail Roux
Oops! I accidentally got decaf: 7. Name a book you were expecting more from.
FIVE DARES by Eli Easton. Friends to lovers with two bi main characters should’ve been much better and much less bimisic.
The perfect blend: 8. Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.
Okay for this one I’m taking bitter to mean “angsty” because I love this series and have two tattoos inspired by the ships. Anyway! A series that’s both sweet and angsty and so so much more is the CUT & RUN series by Abigail Roux. It’s a fucking roller coaster ride of feels with the perfect ending.
Salami J. Mayo!!! 😂 I can’t breeeathe omg haha. I’m so tired of those books being everywhere. Also, yes about King’s books. I literally was attacked by a couple last time I looked at books because they were overstocked and copies of IT fell on my head
I really love this tag and your answers 🙂

OMG. I’m scared of clowns, so honestly, I probably would’ve screamed in the middle of the store if that book fell on me lol
